  • 405 nm-1064 nm multiple center wavelengths available
  • High integration design, center wavelength fine-tuning possible
  • Passive magneto-optical device that allows light to travel in only one direction
  • Prevents the impact of back-reflected noise or interference on the light source or optical system
LBTEK High-Performance Free-Space Isolator is a polarization-dependent isolator, consisting of three parts: an input polarization optic, a Faraday rotator, and an output polarization optic. For a single-stage isolator, the transmission axis angle between the input and output polarization optics is 45°. When a beam of light enters in the forward direction, the input polarization optic acts as a polarizer, generating linearly polarized light that enters the Faraday rotator. The Faraday rotator rotates the linearly polarized light by 45°, allowing the light to pass completely through the output polarization optic. When a beam of light enters in the reverse direction, the Faraday rotator continues to rotate the polarization direction of the light in the same direction as when the light enters forward. At this point, the polarization direction of the light is rotated by 90° relative to the incident light, making it perpendicular to the transmission axis of the input polarization optic. Therefore, the LBTEK High-Performance Free-Space Isolator is a passive magneto-optic device that only allows light to propagate in a single direction. LBTEK High-Performance Free-Space Isolators are typically used to prevent light sources or optical systems from being affected by back-reflected noise or interference. LBTEK High-Performance Free-Space Isolators are available in various center wavelengths ranging from 405 nm to 1064 nm. Additionally, LBTEK offers customization services for parameters such as operating wavelength, dimensions, and average power. If needed, please contact LBTEK customer service.

Single-stage narrowband tunable free-space isolator, peak isolation: 35 dB
  • Working wavelength: 405 nm-1064 nm, multiple options available
  • Clear aperture: Ø 4.7 mm
  • Peak isolation: 35 dB

LBTEK single-stage narrowband tunable free-space isolators are generally used to prevent light sources or optical systems from being affected by back-reflected noise or interference. LBTEK single-stage narrowband tunable free-space isolators are available with various center wavelengths from 405 nm to 1064 nm. Note: Before use, please loosen the baffle locking screw, rotate the baffle to align the light-passing hole on the baffle with the escape window, and the reflected light will exit from there.

As the device has strong magnetism, it is recommended to use a non-magnetic wrench for adjustment. A 1.5mm titanium alloy hex key is included with the device. When tightening, try to ensure gentle action to avoid parts sliding during the tightening process.
