The OCS100 Optical Chopper system provided by LBTEK is a precision optical modulation instrument that converts a continuous light beam into a stable, adjustable optical pulse sequence. In terms of core control, the controller adopts PLL phase-locked loop motor speed control technology to ensure high stability of the chopping frequency and the phase of the reference signal. The built-in crystal-stabilized frequency synthesizer provides a high-precision reference source, ensuring long-term operational reliability. Unlike traditional open-loop solutions, the PLL architecture also supports easily synchronizing the chopper to an external reference signal. Meanwhile, the OCS100 Optical Chopper system is compatible with single- and dual-frequency blades and supports Secondary Development in languages such as C/C++, LabVIEW, C#, Python, and Matlab.

The Optical Chopper System OCS100 provided by LBTEK includes a chopper head, its controller, and chopper blades. The chopper head uses a high-quality rare-earth magnet DC motor, combined with blades of different slot counts, the chopping frequency can cover 4 Hz to 10 KHz. The controller with a compact form factor uses a PLL phase-locked loop motor controller algorithm, providing stable chopping rate and phase jitter. The controller features a touchscreen and a pushable knob, all functions can be realized through the touchscreen and pushable knob, and remote host computer control can also be achieved via the USB interface. The host computer software supports secondary development in multiple languages including C/C++, Labview, C#, Python, and Matlab.

Please note: The chopper integrates a photoelectric switch, and the chopper should avoid contact with stray light sources, because the photoelectric switch may produce jitter when subjected to light pollution.

The OCB series chopper blades provided by LBTEK expand the chopping frequency range of the Optical Chopper. The OCB1F10HP high-precision dual-frequency blade is the standard chopper blade included with the OCS100. Additionally, single-frequency chopper blades such as the OCB1F10, the OCB1F10A with adjustable duty cycle, and the OCB2F57 harmonic chopper blade are also available.
