Product Description
  • Telecentric Optical Path with f-Theta Aberration Correction
  • Flat-Field Spot Uniformity for Consistent Imaging Performance
  • Compatible With Tube Lenses, Objectives, and More
LBTEK Scan Lenses are key optical components in laser scanning systems, typically used in conjunction with galvanometer scanners. Their design is built on two core functions: flat-field focusing and linear scanning. Through a multi-element lens configuration that introduces a predetermined amount of negative distortion, the scan lens flattens the focal surface while maintaining a linear relationship between the spot position (y) on the focal plane and the beam deflection angle (θ), i.e., y = f × θ (where f is the lens focal length). In addition, the image-space telecentric optical path ensures that chief rays are parallel to the optical axis, providing consistent incidence angles and uniform illumination across the full field of view. Combined with full-field aberration correction, this approach enhances spot size uniformity and imaging resolution consistency, meeting the critical requirements of high-precision scanning applications such as OCT and confocal microscopy. LBTEK offers scan lenses with various scan angles and field sizes, covering wavelengths from 400 to 1800 nm with focal lengths from 18 to 110 mm. Scan Lens for Laser Scanning Microscopy System
  • Designed for Laser Scanning Microscopy Systems
  • Scan Angles: ±7.8° × ±7.8°, ±8.1° × ±8.1°
  • Thread Specifications: SM30, SM2

LBTEK Scan Lenses feature a telecentric design with f-theta aberration correction, converting the angular deflection from a galvanometer scanner into linear displacement on the focal plane — effectively suppressing geometric distortion and delivering a flat image plane. This series is primarily designed for laser scanning microscopy systems and can be paired with tube lenses and objectives to form a telecentric imaging path. The operating wavelength range covers visible to near-infrared, with options of 400–750 nm, 450–1100 nm, 680–1300 nm, and 800–1800 nm to suit various applications.

The scan lens is mounted on the five-axis adjuster AMM5-1AC via a threaded adapter.
