Product Description
  • Piezoelectric stepper drive with self-locking at power-off, no holding current required
  • Flexible coupling friction transmission, no magnetic field interference, extremely low operating noise
  • Compatible with standard 1-inch (Ø25.4 mm) optical components, enabling construction of multi-axis precision adjustment systems
Piezoelectric rotary positioning stages are precision rotary positioning devices driven by piezoelectric stepper motors as the core actuating elements. They are widely used in applications such as laser beam path alignment, wave plate/polarizer angle control, interferometry, and micro-nano optics experiments. The working principle is as follows: under periodic voltage driving, the piezoelectric ceramic produces controllable tiny linear deformations, which are transmitted to the friction element via a flexure coupling actuator. Through continuous stepping friction, the linear motion is converted into rotary motion, thereby achieving high-resolution angular positioning. Compared to traditional stepper motor or servo motor drive solutions, piezoelectric stepper DC motors have no magnetic field interference, extremely low operating noise, and self-locking when powered off without the need for holding current, offering inherent advantages in precision optical experimental environments. This product series is compatible with a 1-inch (Ø25.4 mm) outer diameter for optical components, allows flexible installation, and can be quickly integrated with standardized components such as optical mounts and adjustment frames to build multi-axis precision adjustment systems.

PECRM-1AS Series Piezoelectric Rotation Stage is specifically designed for angular adjustment of Ø25.4 mm (1 inch) standard-diameter optical components. Driven by a piezoelectric stepping DC motor and connected to a controller via an SMC interface, it combines a flexure coupling driver with a friction transmission mechanism to convert the high-frequency micro-displacement of piezoelectric ceramics into continuous and controllable rotary motion. Three M4 threaded holes are provided on each of the three sides of the stage body for easy mounting of LBTEK standard optical mounts; the dial is equipped with 4 M2.5 load mounting holes for securing Ø25.4 mm optical components; the central through-hole diameter of the stage is Ø20 mm, and the bottom features 4 M3 holes for fixing the stage body to an optical table or breadboard. The central load capacity reaches 5 kg, with a maximum speed of 5°/s and a minimum displacement increment of 0.015°. LBTEK provides a complete controller operation guide, LabVIEW and Visual C++ SDK development packages, and example codes for this series of products. Piezoelectric Controller
  • Voltage output adjustment range from 85 V to 125 V
  • 4 drive channels, supporting simultaneous single-channel or dual-channel independent operation modes
  • USB connection enables plug-and-play PC control

The LBTEK PAC04 Piezo Controller is a compact four-channel piezoelectric drive device designed for controlling piezo rotation stages and optical mounts. This controller offers up to four output channels and supports single-channel or dual-channel operating modes—in dual-channel mode, it can drive two piezo elements collaboratively to achieve precise beam pointing adjustment, making it highly suitable for applications such as beam steering and positioning. The output voltage can be adjusted within a range of 85 V to 125 V to meet the driving requirements of different piezo elements.

The product provides four control methods: via the top touchscreen, via the top buttons, via the side SMA interface for trigger signal input, and via a PC host computer. After powering on, the top panel display can be operated directly without connecting to a computer; it also supports USB connection through the included Type-C cable for plug-and-play PC control. Additionally, users can perform secondary development of the device using software development kits based on C++, C#, Python, and LabVIEW, facilitating system integration.

Note: The PAC04 Piezo Controller must be connected to a 15 V DC power supply; therefore, a 15 V power adapter is included with the product. Do not use a power supply with other ratings, as this may cause equipment damage and result in operator injury.
