The LBTEK Quartz Optical-Contacted True Zero-Order Quarter-Wave Plate (λ/4) is constructed by combining a single-piece ultra-thin quartz crystal true Zero-Order Waveplate with a 2 mm thick H-K9L Optical Glass substrate through an optical contacting (optical contact) process. The quartz crystal true Zero-Order Waveplate has a thickness on the micrometer scale and low mechanical strength. By combining it with the H-K9L substrate through optical contacting, the overall mechanical strength of the assembly is significantly improved while maintaining the excellent optical performance of the true Zero-Order Waveplate, making it easy to mount and use. The LBTEK Quartz Optical-Contacted True Zero-Order Quarter-Wave Plate (λ/4) is commonly used to convert linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light.
