The LBTEK Z-axis translation mount is an optical mount that enables precise positioning along the optical axis. It provides repeatable Z-axis travel within a 16 mm coaxial system, and can be used for optical fiber alignment in coaxial systems or for compensating focusing errors in spatial filtering applications. The translation ring of the mount features an SM1 (0.535"-40) internal thread. It is translated by a precision micrometer drive with 1 µm graduation, with a translation travel of 1.0 mm. The micrometer head is engraved with scale marks indicating the effective travel range, and can be adjusted via a knurled knob or a 2 mm hex wrench. Two SM05R retaining rings are included for securing Ø1 inch (12.7 mm) Optical Components with a maximum thickness of 7.2 mm. The mount has one M4 threaded hole for connection in free space.
