LBTEK offers a series of pneumatic vibration isolation optical tables. The tabletop is precision-machined with a micro-textured matte finish, achieving a flatness of 0.05–0.10 mm/600 × 600 mm and a surface roughness of 0.8 μm. Depending on the tabletop size, the frame is available in four-support or six-support configurations, connected by linking rods to form a rigid structure. The frame isolation system employs an air spring design. During operation, compressed air fills the internal cavity to form an air column, and vibration reduction is achieved through pressure changes in the compressed air within the rubber bellows. The system operates at a natural frequency of 1–2 Hz, with excellent resonance damping and sensitive response. The air spring features a dual-chamber design: an auxiliary chamber reduces vertical stiffness, and orifices between the main body and the auxiliary chamber provide damping. When external disturbances cause the air spring to deform, a pressure differential develops across the orifices — small during slow displacement and large during rapid displacement. As compressed air flows through the orifices, it encounters local resistance that dissipates energy and attenuates vibration. In addition to the isolation structure, the frame isolation system includes a pneumatic control circuit, with all pneumatic components sourced from reputable brands. The frame base features integrated leveling feet and casters to accommodate various laboratory space requirements. The tabletop consists of a magnetic stainless steel top plate, an isolation cup layer, a central honeycomb core, and a steel bottom plate. This layered construction prevents liquids and contaminants from penetrating the honeycomb structure and blocks air convection between tapped holes. The pneumatic isolation system beneath the tabletop effectively attenuates vibrations at frequencies above the natural frequency.
