LBTEK adjustable polarizer consists of two film linear polarizers, each composed of front and rear N-BK7 glass substrates with a linear polarizing film in between. It can continuously reduce brightness and be used as a light intensity attenuator. When the transmission axes of the two polarizers are parallel to the polarization direction of the incident light, the transmittance reaches its maximum, and the rotating ring aligns with the (+) mark. When the transmission axis of the incident polarizer is parallel to the polarization direction of the incident light, and the transmission axis of the exiting polarizer is perpendicular to the transmission axis of the incident polarizer, the transmittance is at its minimum, and the rotating ring aligns with the (-) mark. LBTEK offers adjustable polarizers with operating wavelengths of 400-700 nm and 700-1700 nm.

SM1 internal and external threads

The adjustable polarizer features an SM1 external thread on the input end and an SM1 internal thread on the output end, facilitating the connection of various optical elements or components. After screwing the polarizer into the SM1 internal threaded component, the PCW-A wrench (sold separately) can be used to tighten the SM1LR locking ring, which not only secures the polarizer firmly but also allows adjustment of the transmission axis of the input polarizer to precisely match the polarization direction of the input light source. By rotating the output polarizer, the intensity of the output light can be continuously adjusted and the polarization direction changed. After parameter adjustment is complete, tighten the M3×2.5 flat head set screw to lock the configuration.
