Product Description
  • Stroke versions of 6 mm and 13 mm available
  • Compatible with Ø8.6mm smooth bore or M6×0.25 threaded optical mounts and manual stages
  • Secondary development in languages such as C/C++, LabVIEW, C#, Python available
  • Compact two-phase bipolar stepper motor driver
The Electric Actuators provided by LBTEK are primarily used to replace the adjustment screw pairs and micrometer heads of optical mounts and translation stages, enabling motorized control. LBTEK electric actuators utilize two-phase bipolar micro stepper motors, delivering smooth and precise linear translation control with a minimum step size of 2 μm across the entire travel range. This ensures high flexibility while maintaining low backlash and high precision characteristics. LBTEK's 6mm and 13mm travel actuators offer optional smooth-wall and threaded mounting methods. The actuator control box supports secondary development in languages such as C/C++, LabVIEW, C#, and Python.

Electric actuator, 6 mm stroke
  • Non-rotating drive head
  • Two-way two-stage stepping electric actuator: 113 mm (retracted size)
  • Available with threaded and smooth-wall mounting options

The SMET-06x series actuators provided by LBTEK have a retracted overall length of 113 mm and can deliver smooth, precise linear motion control. These actuators are driven by a compact two-phase bipolar stepper motor, with a maximum stepping speed of 2 mm/s. The rotating contact structure is eliminated in these actuators, and the top ball head is non-rotatable, which helps reduce wear and friction while enhancing motion smoothness. This series of actuators offers two mounting options: M6×0.25 threaded and Ø8.6 mm smooth-wall configurations.

Note: The electric actuators do not support hot-plugging, as doing so may damage the motor.

The actuator is installed on the AMMM-1B optical adjustment mount

Electric actuator, 13 mm stroke
  • Non-rotating drive head
  • Manual adjustment via hand-tightening screw located at the rear
  • Compact bipolar stepper motor actuator with retracted length of 74.6mm
  • Available with threaded and smooth-wall mounting options

The SMET-13x series actuators provided by LBTEK feature a sleek and compact design, with a fully retracted length of 74.6 mm, delivering smooth and precise linear motion control. These actuators are driven by a miniature two-phase bipolar stepper motor, achieving a maximum stepping speed of 2 mm/s. The elimination of the rotary contact structure and the non-rotating top ball head reduce wear and friction, enhancing motion smoothness. When the actuator is not powered, manual adjustment can be performed using the red hand-turning knob located at the rear. This series of actuators offers two mounting options: M6×0.25 threads and an Ø8.6 mm smooth-wall configuration.

Note: The electric actuator does not support hot-plugging, as it may damage the motor. Additionally, rotating the hand-turning knob while the actuator is powered may cause damage to the motor.

The electric actuator is used with the EAC-CV2-1 controller

Electric Actuator Controller
  • Compact dimensions: 88.4 mm x 60.0 mm x 58.0 mm
  • Easy-to-use manual control buttons with digital display function menu
  • Supports secondary development in multiple languages including C/C++, LabView, Python
  • With USB cable for computer communication
  • Trapezoidal or S-shaped speed curve
  • High-resolution microstepping: 2048 microsteps per full step

The EAC-CV2-1 electric actuator controller provided by LBTEK is a structurally very compact single-axis, two-phase stepper motor controller, primarily used to control the operation of the SMET series electric actuators. It allows selection between trapezoidal and S-shaped speed profiles and features a high theoretical microstepping resolution (49,152 microsteps for motors with 24 full steps and 409,600 microsteps for motors with 200 full steps). The top of the controller is equipped with a digital display and three control buttons, facilitating simple manual operation of the electric actuator. The brightness of the digital display is adjustable and can also be turned off. On the end face of the controller, there are two bidirectional trigger ports with SMA connectors, which can be used to read 5 V external logic signals or output 5 V logic signals to control external devices. Each port can be individually configured.

Note: The electric actuator controller does not support hot-plugging. To disconnect the electric actuator from the controller, please power off the controller first before disconnecting the actuator.
