Product Description
- Optical Material: CaF2
- Working Wavelength: 200 nm-8.0 μm
- Application: Optical Path Deflection
LBTEK offers high-precision right-angle prisms, where selecting different incident surfaces can deflect the light path by 90° or 180°.
LBTEK right-angle prisms are available in various materials including N-BK7, UVFS, and CaF2. Based on the principle of total internal reflection, right-angle prisms can function as 90° or 180° reflectors, as illustrated in the diagram above. When light enters through one of the prism's right-angle faces, it undergoes total internal reflection on the hypotenuse face and exits through the other right-angle face, achieving a 90° reflection. When light enters through the hypotenuse face, it undergoes two total internal reflections on the right-angle faces and exits parallel to the incident beam, resulting in a 180° reflection. Additionally, this 180° deflection is independent of the incident angle. Besides the standard version without anti-reflection coatings, LBTEK also provides three broadband anti-reflection coating options: 400 nm-700 nm, 700 nm-1100 nm, and 1100 nm-1700 nm.
