Polarization is one of the most multidimensional properties of light. Numerous applications in science and technology are based on it, some of which are simulated in this experimental kit. It consists of units, each containing a different topic. In the course, students use optomechanical components to build a polarization 3D imaging system and then use it to study the fundamental properties, theory, and related applications of polarization. In this course, students build their knowledge in a systematic way. The laboratory materials are carefully arranged in sequence, providing opportunities to learn and apply new knowledge in a practical manner. The goal is to equip students with the skills to confidently develop their own polarization and 3D imaging applications for future projects and work.
Polarization 3D Imaging Teaching Experimental Device
  • Anaglyph 3D Imaging
  • Linear Polarization 3D Imaging
  • RealD 3D Imaging

The basic principle of the LBTEK Polarization 3D Imaging Teaching System is based on polarization and parallax principles. It delivers two images captured from different perspectives to the observer's eyes, allowing each eye to receive only the image corresponding to its perspective, simulating the binocular parallax mechanism of human vision. This enables the brain to synthesize depth perception. The system achieves 3D imaging through three methods: anaglyph 3D imaging technology, linear polarization 3D imaging technology, and circular polarization 3D imaging technology.
