An optical power meter is a fundamental tool in optical measurement. The high-power thermoelectric laser power meter consists of the PMTC series probe and a meter unit. The probe uses a thermal sensor to receive optical signals, which are processed through a series of circuits to obtain a digital signal. The meter unit receives the digital signal from the probe, calculates the actual optical power value, and displays it on the screen in multiple modes. The screen is a color touchscreen with a user-friendly interface that allows quick selection of wavelength, range, and display mode. Functional physical buttons are also designed to retain the basic functions of traditional meter units.

LBTEK high-power thermoelectric laser power meters utilize a thermopile sensor with a series-connected thermocouple structure, which absorbs incident laser radiation on the target surface and converts it into thermal energy. When the laser beam is focused on the bullseye area of the thermopile detector, the absorbed radiation energy on the target surface is converted into thermal energy. This thermal energy is transferred through the detector's thermal conduction path, causing the temperature at the hot end of the thermocouple to rise. Meanwhile, as the thermal energy diffuses along the passive region toward the edges, the cold end of the thermocouple maintains a relatively low temperature, thereby establishing a stable thermoelectric potential difference between the hot and cold ends. This thermoelectric potential is transmitted through a signal conditioning circuit and finally quantified and read by data acquisition software. It can detect continuous laser power ranging from 100 μW to 600 W. LBTEK high-power thermoelectric laser power meters offer three effective detection aperture options: 10 mm, 30 mm, and 40 mm. This series of power meter probes must be used in conjunction with a PMTC model meter. The mechanical housing of the probe features an M6 threaded hole at the bottom, allowing it to be installed and used in free space with LBTEK's rod mounts (the product does not include mounting rods).
