Product Description
  • Optical Material: N-BK7/S-LAH64 or equivalent
  • Uncoated
  • More suitable for focusing applications
LBTEK precision polished aspheric lenses are commonly available in two materials: N-BK7 and S-LAH64. Both materials exhibit high transmittance in the visible and near-infrared wavelength ranges. S-LAH64 has a higher refractive index than N-BK7, making it typically suitable for fabricating lenses with high numerical aperture (NA) and short focal lengths. Compared to conventional spherical lenses, aspheric lenses offer a larger numerical aperture (NA), a lower f-number (f/#), reduced spherical aberration, and the ability to achieve diffraction-limited performance, resulting in superior optical performance. This can reduce the number of system components, thereby simplifying system design. Compared to molded aspheric condenser lenses, precision polished aspheric lenses feature larger sizes, superior surface quality, and better focused beam quality. Due to the off-axis performance limitations of aspheric lenses, these precision polished aspheric lenses are more suitable for applications with small fields of view, such as fiber optic light sources, including fiber coupling. To ensure optimal performance, when used for focusing a collimated beam, the beam should be incident on the surface with the larger curvature. Due to the influence of polishing marks, the beam may not achieve an ideal spot state when used for collimation, but it can reach the diffraction limit when used for focusing. If higher requirements are placed on the collimated spot, customized products with higher surface accuracy can be provided. For customization details, please contact LBTEK Technical Support.

Precision Polished Aspheric Lens, N-BK7, Uncoated, Unmounted
  • Material: N-BK7 or equivalent materials
  • Operating Wavelength: 350 nm-2000 nm
  • Diameter: Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, Ø50.8 mm

LBTEK uninstalled precision polished aspheric lenses, made of N-BK7 or equivalent materials, uncoated, currently available in three sizes: Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, Ø50.8 mm. The spherical refraction of ordinary lenses cannot converge parallel light to a single point, resulting in spherical aberration. In contrast, the curvature of an aspheric lens changes continuously from the center to the edge. By adjusting the conic constant and aspheric coefficients, spherical aberration can be minimized, allowing light rays to converge to a single point, thereby improving optical performance.

LBTEK uninstalled precision polished aspheric lenses can be installed on fixed lens mounts.
