LBTEK Quartz Polarization Grating is fabricated on a UVFS substrate with birefringent microstructures inscribed within, delivered as a 1-inch single-substrate bare optic without housing. Within the substrate, the fast axis orientation of the birefringent microstructure varies periodically and continuously along the x-direction, maintaining a uniform λ/2 retardance across the entire element plane, making it a single-wavelength element. The quartz polarization grating exhibits polarization-dependent optical properties. Depending on the polarization state of the incident beam, it can achieve tunable-energy-ratio beamsplitting or enable non-mechanical beam scanning. Compared to conventional gratings, the quartz polarization grating introduces polarization modulation functionality; its planar structure with no physical surface relief facilitates integration; and the substrate material choice ensures a high damage threshold in the ultraviolet band. LBTEK offers standard quartz polarization gratings with operating wavelength λ at 355 nm and grating period p of 200 μm, while also supporting flexible customization of specifications for diverse applications. Pure UVFS Material, High Damage Threshold, High Transmittance
Compatible With 1-Inch Optic Mounts
LBTEK 355 nm Quartz Polarization Grating has a clear aperture of 10 × 10 mm and a phase period of 200 μm. Depending on the polarization state of the incident light, it can achieve tunable-ratio beamsplitting and beam scanning effects. Under the same phase period, polarization gratings with different operating wavelengths have different beam deflection angles under incident light at their respective wavelengths. Products in this category guarantee diffraction efficiency > 90%.
