Product Description

The retaining rings from LBTEK are precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum or 304 stainless steel with black anodized surface treatment, featuring symmetrical notches compatible with retaining ring key. These rings are specifically designed to secure optical components in SM screw thread using corresponding SM-sized retaining rings. Currently available in SM05, SM1, SM1.5, and SM2 models, they support the installation and fixation of optical components with diameters of Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, Ø38.1 mm, and Ø50.8 mm respectively. The rings are offered in convenient 10-piece per packages. LBTEK also offers customerization for special surface treatments, sizes and tapped hole specifications. SM05 Retaining Ring

The SM05 retaining ring from LBTEK is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a black anodized surface finish. The peripheral groove is compatible with OWR-05A retaining ring key for securing Ø12.7 mm optical components. Typically, two retaining rings are used in lens tubes or coaxial mounts, one for positional fixation and the other for firmly clamping the optical component.

The SM05R retaining ring is used for the fixed lens mount FLF05A.
