LBTEK lens tubes are commonly used to secure optical components with a diameter of Ø50.8 mm or to block stray light in optical paths, preventing environmental light from affecting the system. LBTEK's SM2 lens tubes come in three versions: with both internal and external threads (SM2-xxA), internal threads only (SM2-xxB), and external threads only (SM2-xxC). The lens tubes can be combined to extend their length, facilitating the rapid setup of compact optical systems. By using a retaining ring wrench, the retaining ring can be positioned at the desired location inside the lens tube to separate and secure optical components. In addition to the standard SM2 lens tubes, LBTEK also offers SM05 and SM1 lens tubes, along with compatible accessories such as lens tube adapters, retaining rings, and retaining ring wrenches.

The LBTEK internal-threaded lens tube features SM2 internal threads on both ends, allowing direct installation and removal of Ø50.8 mm optical components from either side. When stacking multiple lens tubes, SM2-25C or SM2-12.5T accessories are required for proper connection. Each lens tube comes with two SM2R retaining rings to secure the position of optical components.

The LBTEK external threaded lens sleeve has SM2 external threads on both ends, commonly used to extend the length of lens sleeves. It can be paired with internal-external threaded adapters and internal threaded lens sleeves to expand the length of lens sleeves.

The LBTEK 2-inch stackable slotted lens tube features side slots, enabling quick and easy assembly of complex optical components while allowing adjustment of optical elements without disassembling the setup. Multiple retaining rings can be used to mount several optical elements within a single lens tube. First, screw the first retaining ring to the required depth, place the optical element, and then secure it with the second retaining ring. The side slots allow manual adjustment of optical elements without requiring a retaining ring wrench. The lens tube comes with a rotatable sliding cover that can conceal the slots, preventing stray light from entering the system while maintaining optical cleanliness. Each lens tube includes two retaining rings.
