When used alone as an XY mount, its functionality is identical to that of the TXY1 and TXY1S. When paired with the magnetic coaxial quick-release plate, optical components with a maximum thickness of 5 mm and a diameter of Ø25.4 mm can be secured within the SM1 internal threads of the quick-release plate using the included SM1R retaining ring, enabling rapid removal of optical components within a coaxial system. The mount base features laser-engraved vertical and horizontal scale markings to assist in aligning the magnetic quick-release plate. Additionally, both parts of the mount have laser-engraved reference points to indicate the correct orientation for fixing the quick-release mounting plate. The side of the magnetic quick-release plate includes a blank area for labeling optical components installed in the TXY1QF, facilitating differentiation among multiple quick-release plates.
