Product Description
  • Passive magneto-optical devices allowing light to transmit in only one direction
  • Preventing light sources or optical systems from back-reflected noise or interference
  • Multiple center wavelengths available
LBTEK free-space optical isolator is a polarization-dependent isolator, which consists of three parts: input polarization optical element, Faraday rotator and output polarization optical element. The transmission angle between the input and output polarization optical elements is 45°. When a beam of light enters in the forward direction, the incident polarization optical element acts as a polarizer to generate linear polarized light and enters the Faraday rotator. The Faraday rotator rotates the linear polarized light by 45°, and finally the light completely passes through the output polarization optical element. When a beam of light enters in the reverse direction, the Faraday rotator continues to rotate the polarization direction of the light, and the rotation direction is the same as the forward direction of the light. At this time, the polarization direction of the light is rotated 90° relative to the incident light, which is perpendicular to the transmission direction of the input polarization optical element. Therefore, LBTEK free-space optical isolator is a passive magneto-optical device that only allows light to be transmitted in a single direction. LBTEK free-space optical isolator is generally used to prevent light sources or optical systems from being affected by back reflection noise or interference. LBTEK free-space optical isolator currently offers multiple central wavelengths of 405 nm-1550 nm. In addition, LBTEK provides customized services such as working wavelength, size, average power, etc. If you have any needs, please contact LBTEK customer service.

BTEK free-space optical isolators are generally used to prevent light sources or optical systems from being affected by back-reflected noise or interference. This free-space optical isolators is not equipped with a black housing. The polarization direction of the light source can be aligned with the transmission axis of the PBS at the light inlet end of the isolator by rotating the isolator. Note: Before use, loosen the baffle locking screw and rotate the baffle to align the light hole on the baffle with the escape window, and the reflected light will emit from here.

LBTEK rotatable free-space optical isolators is secured using a HM-V50 V-type clamp

Free-Space Optical Isolators Adapter
  • Ø2" smooth surface, SM2 threaded ends
  • Ø38 mm smooth inner diameter, secured with set screw
  • Compatible with ISOxxxR series free-space optical isolators

LBTEK Free-Space Optical Isolator Adapters are ideal for mounting and adapting ISOxxxR series free-space optical isolators to optomechanical assemblies such as kinematic mounts, coaxial systems, etc. with Ø2" open-wall holes or SM2 threaded holes. The clamped component is fixed in place with an M4 rubber-tipped set screw on the side to prevent the clamped component from rotating or sliding, and to ensure that the center of the clamp is aligned with the optical axis. The M4 rubber-tipped set screw can be adjusted and tightened with a 2.0 mm hex wrench.

The free-space optical  isolator is installed on the isolator adapter.

Free-Space Optical Isolators, Compact Design
  • Working wavelength: 405 nm, 633 nm, 780 nm, 850 nm, 1064 nm, 1550 nm
  • Clear aperture: Ø 3 mm
  • Peak isolation: 30 dB
  • Low power, miniaturization

LBTEK free space optical isolators are generally used to prevent light sources or optical systems from being affected by back reflection noise or interference. This free space optical  isolator greatly reduces the product size, making it easier for integration, and the polarization direction of the light source can be made consistent with the transmission axis direction of the polarizer at the light inlet end of the isolator by rotating the isolator.

LBTEK miniaturized free-space optical isolator is fixed using the mounting bracket SM07-FR.
