Product Description
  • Material: N-BK7/S-LAH64
  • High Transmittance in the 400-700 nm Visible Light Range
  • Large Numerical Aperture, Wide Aperture, Lower F/#, Smaller Spherical Aberration
  • Suitable for Small Field-of-view Applications such as Fiber Optic Light Sources
LBTEK precision polished aspheric lenses are commonly available in two materials: N-BK7 and S-LAH64. Both materials exhibit high transmittance in the visible and near-infrared wavelength ranges. S-LAH64 has a higher refractive index than N-BK7, making it typically suitable for manufacturing high numerical aperture (NA) short focal length lenses. Compared to conventional spherical lenses, aspheric lenses feature larger numerical apertures (NA), lower f-numbers (f/#), and reduced spherical aberration, enabling diffraction-limited performance with superior optical characteristics. This allows for fewer system components, thereby simplifying optical system design. When compared to molded aspheric condenser lenses, precision polished aspheric lenses offer larger sizes, better surface quality, and improved beam quality. Due to the off-axis performance limitations of aspheric lenses, these precision polished aspheric lenses are more suitable for small field-of-view applications such as fiber optic light sources, including fiber collimation, coupling, and imaging. For optimal performance: - When collimating a point source, the beam should be incident on the flatter surface of the lens. - When focusing a collimated beam, the beam should be incident on the more curved surface.

Precision Polished Aspheric Lens, N-BK7, AR Coating: 400 nm-700 nm, Unmounted
  • Material: N-BK7
  • Working Wavelength: 400 nm-700 nm
  • Diameter: Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, Ø50.8 mm
LBTEK Unmounted Precision Polished Aspheric Lenses, made of N-BK7 material, with anti-reflection coating: 400 nm-700 nm. Currently available in three sizes: Ø12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm, and Ø50.8 mm. The spherical refraction of ordinary lenses cannot converge parallel light to a single point, resulting in spherical aberration. In contrast, the curvature of aspheric lenses continuously changes from the center to the edge. By adjusting the conic constant and aspheric coefficients, spherical aberration can be minimized, allowing light to converge to a single point and thereby improving optical performance.
LBTEK Uninstalled precision polished aspheric lens can be mounted on fixed lens mounts
