LBTEK's Hollow Roof Prism Mirror is constructed from two right-angle prisms and a rectangular substrate, both made of Borofloat. Borofloat material offers exceptional surface flatness and excellent optical properties, with superior light transmittance and very low fluorescence intensity across the entire spectral range. The right-angle prism's bevel is coated with a silver film with a metal protective layer, providing high reflectivity in both the visible and near-infrared bands. The two prisms' bevels are positioned opposite each other, with a dihedral angle of 90°±10 arcsec. The Hollow Roof Prism Mirror reflects light incident on the prism's bevel. Unlike a flat mirror, the reflected light remains parallel to the incident light, avoiding the effects of beam interference and achieving greater precision than manually adjusting two mirrors.
