An axicon, also known as a rotationally symmetric prism, is a lens composed of a conical surface and a planar surface. It is commonly used to generate beams with Bessel intensity profiles or ring-shaped beams. When converting a collimated beam into a ring-shaped beam, the planar side of the axicon should face the collimated light source. LBTEK manufactures axicons using UV fused silica, which is suitable for a wide range of ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared applications. With its low refractive index, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and high hardness, it is ideal for harsh working environments. LBTEK offers uncoated axicons with four different apex angles (α): 0.5°, 1°, 2°, and 5°. LBTEK's axicon lenses are made from UV fused silica as the substrate material, consisting of a conical surface and a flat plane, capable of transforming an incident collimated beam into a ring-shaped beam. We offer four different apex angles (α) options: 0.5°, 1°, 2°, and 5°. Each lens features an arrow marking on its edge, with the arrow pointing toward the conical surface.
