The LBTEK fixed fiber attenuator is an optical passive device designed to reduce optical signal energy. It features one end with a connector and the other end with an adapter. It is primarily used to attenuate optical power within optical paths, achieving the desired target optical power level. This device finds applications in optical communication systems and fiber optic test instruments. Besides standard products, LBTEK provides customization for various attenuation values. LBTEK fixed fiber optic attenuators are developed based on the principle that metal ions absorb light. By doping optical fibers with metal ions, they absorb additional light within specific wavelength ranges, thereby causing light attenuation. The fixed fiber optic attenuators with FC/UPC connectors are available in five attenuation values: 3dB, 5dB, 10dB, 15dB, 20dB, and 25dB, suitable for wavelength ranges between 1240-1620 nm.
