Product Description
  • Optical Material: N-BK7;
  • Operating Wavelength: 400 nm-700 nm (AR Coating);
  • Application: imaging, beam expander or reducer, convergence;
The negative meniscus lens from LBTEK consists of two surfaces with similar radii of curvature (the concave surface having a smaller radius than the convex surface), resulting in a negative focal length. Typically used for beam expansion/reduction, focal length extension, or numerical aperture reduction, this lens minimizes spherical aberration when the convex surface faces incident light during beam expansion/collimation or divergent light applications, while the concave surface should face incident light for converging beam collimation. Both surfaces are coated with 400-700 nm AR coatings to reduce surface reflectivity. While N-BK7 is the most common lens material for visible light and near-infrared applications, LBTEK manufactures these lenses using both N-SF11 and N-BK7 materials for diverse optical requirements. All lenses undergo precision machining and strict quality control, ensuring LBTEK delivers high-quality optical products at competitive prices.

Negative Meniscus Lens, N-BK7, AR Coating: 400 nm-700 nm
  • Substrate Material: N-BK7;
  • Operating Wavelength: 400 nm-700 nm;

The negative meniscus lenses from LBTEK are primarily designed to minimize spherical aberration. When combined with another lens, the negative meniscus lens can increase the focal length while reducing the system's numerical aperture (NA) without introducing significant spherical aberration. For minimizing spherical aberration when collimating parallel light, the convex surface of the lens should face the direction of the light source.

Lens unmounted from LBTEK is suitable for building compact systems.

All circular lenses from LBTEK can be mounted in LBTEK standard lens tubes, fixed lens mount, and various coaxial mounting plates, allowing customers to select the optimal mounting solution for different application scenarios.

Lens unmounted from LBTEK is suitable for building compact systems.
