Product Description
  • Optical Material: UV Fused Silica
  • Application: Imaging, Beam Expansion or Reduction
  • Operating Wavelength: 700 nm-1100 nm (AR Coated)
The Plano-Concave Lens has one concave surface and one flat surface, featuring a negative focal length. It is commonly used for beam collimation, increasing (or decreasing) focal length, or expanding (or reducing) images. To minimize spherical aberration, when the incident beam is collimated, it should be directed onto the concave surface of the plano-concave lens. LBTEK chooses UV fused silica (UVFS) as the substrate material for lenses because UVFS exhibits high transmittance in the deep ultraviolet spectrum and produces almost no laser-induced fluorescence. Additionally, UV fused silica offers better homogeneity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion compared to N-BK7. Besides UVFS plano-concave lenses, LBTEK also provides plano-concave lenses made of N-BK7, N-SF11, and calcium fluoride. N-BK7 is the most commonly used material for high-quality optical components, widely applied in visible and near-infrared applications. N-SF11 is characterized by its low Abbe number and high dispersion, while calcium fluoride boasts an extremely high damage threshold and chemical inertness. LBTEK offers uncoated UVFS plano-concave lenses as well as lenses with four types of AR coatings: 245-400nm, 400-700nm, 700-1100nm, and 1100-1650nm. All our lenses undergo precision machining and strict quality control to ensure that LBTEK delivers high-quality lens products to customers at reasonable prices.

Plano-Concave Lens, UVFS, AR Coating: 700 nm-1100 nm, Unmounted
  • Substrate Material: UVFS
  • Operating Wavelength: 700 nm-1100 nm
  • Application: Imaging, Beam Expansion or Reduction

LBTEK Plano-Concave Lenses have a negative focal length and are commonly used for image reduction or light divergence. Since UVFS has a lower Abbe number, LBTEK chooses UV fused silica as the lens substrate material because UVFS exhibits high transmittance in the deep ultraviolet spectrum and produces almost no laser-induced fluorescence. Additionally, UV fused silica offers better homogeneity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion compared to N-BK7. All circular lenses from LBTEK can be mounted in LBTEK standard lens tubes, fixed lens holders, and various coaxial mounting plates. Customers can select the optimal mounting solution for different application scenarios.
