- Cutoff Frequency Measurement
The continuous spatial frequency transfer function measurement system involves imaging a straight slit (which can be regarded as a one-dimensional function) through the lens under test. The image is detected by a camera, and the data is received by a computer for fast Fourier transform processing. This yields the line spread function (LSF) of the slit's light intensity. The LSF is then converted into a spectral function curve under continuous spatial frequency, which is the modulation transfer function (MTF).
