Product Description
  • Optical Material: N-BK7
  • Operating Wavelength: 350 nm-2.0 µm (uncoated)
  • Circular Geometry, Mounted in Mechanical Housing
  • Applications: Imaging, unidirectional beam collimation, beam shaping
The plano-convex circular cylindrical lens has one flat surface and one cylindrical surface, with a positive focal length. Unlike spherical lenses, cylindrical lenses act on the beam in only one direction. Cylindrical lenses are generally used for beam shaping, with typical applications including collimation with double cylindrical lens assemblies and circularizing the output beam of laser diodes. To reduce spherical aberration, when using a plano-convex cylindrical lens to focus a collimated beam into a line, the beam should be incident on the curved surface of the lens; when collimating a line source, the beam should be incident on the flat surface of the lens. LBTEK chooses to manufacture various lenses using N-BK7, the most common lens material widely used in visible and near-infrared applications. LBTEK offers uncoated plano-convex cylindrical lenses as well as lenses with two types of anti-reflection coatings: 400 nm–700 nm and 700 nm–1100 nm. Our lenses are finely processed with strict quality control, ensuring that LBTEK provides users with high-quality lens products at reasonable prices.

  • Circular Geometry, Mounted in Mechanical Housing
  • Operating Wavelength: 350 nm-2.0 µm (uncoated)
Unlike spherical lenses, cylindrical lenses act on the light beam in only one direction. LBTEK plano-convex circular cylindrical lenses are ideal for one-dimensional magnification applications. Typical applications include collimation and circularization of laser diode output beams using dual cylindrical lens assemblies. Unlike standard plano-convex lenses, the plano-convex circular cylindrical lenses are mounted in anodized black aluminum alloy retaining rings with a diameter of 25.4 mm, allowing for easy integration with LBTEK SM1 lens tubes or 25.4 mm lens mounts.
The LBTEK lens housing surface is engraved with product model and other information.
