Compared to ordinary spherical lenses, molded aspheric lenses do not introduce spherical aberration into the transmitted wavefront when focusing or collimating a beam. LBTEK uses D-ZK3, D-ZLAF52LA, and D-LAK6 glass to manufacture molded aspheric lenses in various sizes. These three materials have a higher refractive index than B270 glass, and the molded aspheric lenses made from them offer a larger numerical aperture (NA) and a lower f-number (f/#). To ensure optimal performance, when used for collimating a point light source, the beam should be incident on the flatter side of the lens; when used for focusing a collimated beam, the beam should be incident on the side with greater curvature. Compared to precision-polished aspheric lenses, molded aspheric lenses offer advantages such as better production consistency and suitability for mass production. LBTEK provides molded aspheric lenses with a 600–1050 nm anti-reflection coating, available in both unmounted and mounted options. Our lenses are finely processed with strict quality control, ensuring that LBTEK delivers high-quality lens products to users at reasonable prices.

The mounted molded aspheric lens provided by LBTEK is currently available in a variety of diameters and focal lengths. Different component sizes correspond to different housing thread specifications, and can be adapted for installation using thread adapters. The surface of the mounted molded aspheric lens housing is engraved with the LOGO and product model number, making it easy for users to distinguish during use. One end of the housing features a groove, which can be used with a suitable wrench for assisted installation. The side facing the groove is the side with the larger curvature of the molded aspheric lens.
With installation molded aspheric lens can be mounted on a fixed lens mount using a threaded adapter.

The molded aspheric lenses provided by LBTEK are currently available in a variety of diameters and focal lengths. The spherical refraction of ordinary lenses cannot converge parallel light to a single point, resulting in spherical aberration. In contrast, the surface curvature of aspheric lenses continuously changes from the center to the edge. By adjusting the conic constant and aspheric coefficients, spherical aberration can be minimized, allowing light to converge to a single point, thereby improving optical performance.
Unmounted molded aspheric lenses can be bonded into stainless steel optical component adapters and installed in fixed lens mounts.
