  • Uniform fast-axis orientation within each region of the individual layers of the LCP film, with the overall fast-axis alignment formed by stacking corresponding regions of the three layers of the LCP film
  • Fast-axis orientation symmetrically divided into 6 angular segments of 60°each, with a retardation of λ/2
  • Capable of achieving different polarization state changes for light beams incident on different regions within a specific wavelength range
  • Broadband compatibility, large incidence angle, and excellent temperature stability
  • Operating wavelength: 400-700 nm
  • Custom services for parameter specifications available
The LBTEK Achromatic Six-Segmented Waveplate utilizes N-BK7 glass substrate and Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) material, consisting of three layers of liquid crystal true zero-order six-segmented waveplates designed and combined at specific angles. In each single-layer LCP film, the fast-axis orientation of liquid crystal molecules is uniform within each segment. The three LCP films are stacked according to the designed angles, with corresponding segments aligned to form the overall fast-axis orientation of the achromatic six-segmented waveplate. By controlling the thickness of each LCP film layer and the relative fast-axis angles of the corresponding segments, the total retardation of each segment is precisely managed. The LBTEK Achromatic Six-Segmented Waveplate is commonly used to achieve different polarization state transformations for incident light in various segments. It features near true zero-order characteristics, supports large incident angles, and exhibits low sensitivity to wavelength and temperature variations. Compared with true zero-order six-segmented waveplates, it is not limited to specific operating wavelengths and can achieve different polarization modifications for incident beams in different segments across a certain wavelength range. The standard achromatic six-segmented waveplate is designed for wavelengths of 400-700 nm with a retardation of λ/2. It is mounted in a standard SM1 lens tube, with the product model and 0° fast-axis segment marking lines engraved on the tube surface for easy identification and use by customers.

  • Optical component material: Liquid crystal polymer/N-BK7 window
  • Clear aperture: Ø 21.5 mm
  • Capable of achieving different changes in the polarization state of the incident light in different regions within a wavelength band

The LBTEK Achromatic Six-Segmented Waveplate can achieve different polarization state changes of the incident light in different regions within a specific wavelength band. When linearly polarized light passes through each segment of the achromatic six-segmented waveplate, it generates an optical path difference of λ/2 and a phase retardation of π. It is mounted in a standard SM1 lens tube, with the product model and the 0° fast-axis segment marking line engraved on the tube surface for easy identification and use by customers.
