LBTEK Polymer Homogenizing DOE is a planar optical element designed based on diffractive optics principles, consisting of a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) film and two N-BK7 windows or UVFS windows. Based on the known incident beam parameters, lens focal length, and expected output beam parameters, the design phase is calculated through point-to-point mapping, and the designed geometric phase distribution is then introduced by the LCP film to achieve shaping and homogenization of Gaussian (TEM₀₀, M² < 1.3) incident beams. Due to its advantages of high uniformity, high transmittance, high damage threshold, and sharp edges, it has significant application prospects in laser medical aesthetics, laser processing, surface treatment, and various other scenarios. Compared with traditional refractive homogenizers, the polymer homogenizing DOE offers advantages including easy integration with its planar element structure, high energy utilization, and flexible parameter design. Compared with microlens array homogenizers, a single polymer homogenizing DOE can achieve excellent beam homogenization with sharper boundaries of the shaped output spot, while placing higher requirements on the incident beam parameters. The polymer homogenizing DOE is commonly used with a focusing lens for more flexible beam shaping and homogenization. Therefore, our standard products are all designed for focusing-type beam shaping, used with standard lenses (default f = 100 mm). Operating wavelengths of 532 nm and 1064 nm are available, with square, circular, and line output spot shapes to choose from. Element substrates are available in N-BK7 glass and UV-grade fused silica glass. In addition to standard products, LBTEK also provides flexible customization of specifications. It can shape and homogenize the incident TEM₀₀ Gaussian beam into a square uniform spot. The product is shipped without a mechanical housing. The element features a D-shaped flat edge on one side, parallel to one edge of the output square spot, for easy installation and alignment.
