  • Two options available: high-reflectivity PTFE coating or gold plating
An integrating sphere, also known as a light flux sphere or photometric sphere, is a hollow complete spherical shell with its inner wall coated with highly reflective material. The integrating sphere can uniformly diffuse the input light from a light source through multiple reflections on the inner wall, functioning as a Lambertian light source. The illuminance at any point on the sphere wall is the superposition of illuminance generated by multiple reflected light beams. Depending on the paired photometric measurement equipment, integrating spheres can be used to test parameters such as the luminous flux, color temperature, and luminous efficacy of light sources, as well as to measure the reflectance and transmittance of objects. Meanwhile, LBTEK offers various accessories compatible with integrating spheres.
Universal Standard Integrating Spheres
  • For measuring parameters related to light sources, uniform light source
  • Various sizes, apertures, and diffuser coating materials available
  • Aperture structure design supports quick installation and accessory replacement

The general-purpose standard integrating sphere features a high-reflectivity coating material on its inner wall and sampling ports on the spherical surface. When the light source to be measured enters the interior of the sphere, it undergoes multiple reflections by the coating, creating uniform illumination on the inner wall. It can be used to test parameters such as the luminous flux, color temperature, and luminous efficacy of light sources. LBTEK offers a variety of general-purpose standard integrating spheres with different sizes, numbers of openings, and diffuse coating materials. Among them, the 3-opening integrating sphere has two openings at the equator in the 0° and 90° directions, with the third opening located at the north pole (top). The 4-opening integrating sphere has an additional 180° opening (opposite the 0° opening), and the size of the 180° opening can be customized. All spheres include a baffle located between the 0° and 90° openings to prevent direct light exposure to the detector port. LBTEK's Universal Standard Integrating Spheres can be configured with various optical components to meet users' customization needs.

Transmissive/Reflective Integrating Spheres
  • For measuring the transmittance or reflectance of objects
  • Provides SMA fiber optic connector
  • Measurement port light uniformity better than 0.1%

The collimated light source emits parallel light that enters the interior of the transmissive/reflective integrating sphere, where it undergoes multiple diffuse reflections before being uniformly emitted through the output port. By measuring the luminous flux at the output port, data such as reflectance and transmittance can be calculated. The uniformity of the LBTEK Transmissive/Reflective Integrating Sphere's output port is better than 0.1%. It is primarily used for measuring the optical transmittance/reflectance of materials with strong diffuse scattering, such as mobile phone screens, displays, glass lenses, adhesives, inks, and coated lenses. The top of the LBTEK Transmissive/Reflective Integrating Sphere features a sampling port with an SMA fiber connector. Additionally, the transmissive integrating sphere has 2×M4 and 1×M6 threaded holes at the bottom, while the reflective integrating sphere has 2×M4 threaded holes, allowing installation in free space via optical mounting posts.

Universal Standard Integrating Sphere Accessories
  • Bracket base with top screw M6, overall height 72-87 mm
  • Integrating sphere port plug size options: 0.5/1 inch, internal diffuse reflectance PTFE/gold plating optional
  • Standard integrating sphere fiber optic connector adapter size options: 0.5/1 inch, connector options: SMA/FCPC, internal diffuse reflectance PTFE/gold plating optional

LBTEK Universal Standard Integrating Sphere Accessories include mounting base, port plugs, and fiber optic connector adapters. The mounting base consists of a base and a connecting rod, with an overall height of 72-87 mm, adjustable height range of 0-15 mm, and the top thread specification of the connecting rod is M6. The integrating sphere port plug is used to block unused ports on the sphere. LBTEK offers optional internal diffuse reflective materials, either PTFE or gold-plated, suitable for 0.5/1 inch port sizes. The internal coating of the port plug should match the coating of the integrating sphere. It prevents ambient light and dust from entering the integrating sphere, thereby improving the integrated performance of the sphere. The integrating sphere fiber optic adapter provides optional SMA and FC/PC fiber optic connectors, with internal diffuse reflective materials matching the integrating sphere. The port sizes are available in 0.5 inch and 1 inch options, and it is fixed to the integrating sphere port using the included four M2.5 cross round head screws.
