The LBTEK Polymer True Zero-Order Quarter-Wave Plate (QWP) is fabricated with N-BK7 glass substrate and Liquid Crystal Polymers (LCP) material, featuring a sandwich structure that can be mounted in standard lens tubes. The liquid crystal molecules in the LCP layer have a uniform fast axis orientation, providing the same λ/4 retardation across the entire device plane, making it a single-wavelength component. Polymer true zero-order quarter-wave plates are commonly used to rotate linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light. Compared with multi-order waveplates, they offer advantages such as a larger incident angle, higher stability, and lower wavelength sensitivity. Compared with quartz true zero-order waveplates, they feature simpler manufacturing processes and easier production of ultra-large apertures. LBTEK offers standard polymer true zero-order quarter waveplates with operating wavelengths ranging from 405 to 1550 nm. Available clear aperture sizes include Ø10 mm, Ø21.5 mm, and Ø45 mm, with options for versions either with or without mechanical housing. The waveplates with mechanical housings are non-detachable, and the housing is marked with a fast axis indicator line. For one-inch and two-inch waveplates without mechanical housing, a D-shaped chamfer is provided, with the fast axis direction parallel to the chamfer. Half-inch waveplates without mechanical housing have dashed lines on the side to indicate the fast axis direction, facilitating easy identification for users. The LBTEK Polymer True Zero-Order Quarter-Wave Plates are based on N-BK7 glass substrates and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) birefringent materials. By precisely controlling the thickness of the LCP film, the phase difference between o-light (perpendicular to the optical axis) and e-light (parallel to the optical axis) can be accurately adjusted to π/2 after passing through the LCP, thereby achieving a λ/4 retardation. The polymer true zero-order quarter-wave plates with mechanical housings are mounted in standard SM05, SM1, and SM2 lens tubes. The tube surface is engraved with the product model and relevant parameters, while the top of the tube features a fast-axis marking line for easy identification and use by customers.

The LBTEK Polymer True Zero-Order Quarter-Wave Plates are based on N-BK7 glass substrates and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) birefringent materials. For the polymer true zero-order half-wave plates without mechanical housings, the Ø25.4 mm and Ø50.8 mm versions feature a D-shaped chamfer design with the fast axis parallel to the chamfer, while the Ø12.7 mm version has no chamfer and instead uses a side marking to indicate the fast axis direction, facilitating quick identification and use by customers.
