  • Single-wavelength device, λ/2 retardation, capable of altering the polarization state of incident polarized light at specific wavelengths in different regions
  • Flat-plate structure, large incident angle, excellent temperature stability
  • Operating wavelengths: 488 nm, 532 nm, 633 nm
  • Flexible customization of parameter and specifications available
The LBTEK true zero-order six-segmented waveplate is constructed from N-BK7 window substrates and Liquid Crystal Polymers (LCP) material, forming a typical sandwich structure. The fast-axis orientation of the liquid crystal molecules in the LCP layer is divided into six 60° segments azimuthally, with the fast-axis angles in each segment being 0°, -60°, 60°, 0°, -60°, and 60° counterclockwise, respectively. Within each segment, the fast-axis orientation of the liquid crystal molecules is uniform, providing the same λ/2 retardation across the entire device plane, making it a single-wavelength component. The LBTEK true zero-order six-segmented half-wave plate can alter the polarization direction of incident linearly polarized light differently in various regions, commonly used for generating structured lights in applications such as structured illumination. LBTEK offers standard true zero-order six-segmented waveplates with operating wavelengths of 488 nm, 532 nm, and 633 nm, mounted in standard SM1 lens tubes. The tubes are marked with 60° fast-axis regions, product model numbers, and specifications for easy identification and use. Additionally, LBTEK supports flexible customization of parameters and specifications. For specific customization, please contact LBTEK technical support.

True zero-order six-segmented waveplate
  • Optical component material: Liquid crystal polymer/N-BK7 window
  • Clear aperture: Ø 21.5 mm
  • Operating wavelength: 488 nm, 532 nm, 633 nm

The LBTEK true zero-order six-segmented waveplate is fabricated on an N-BK7 window with a dual-layer substrate, providing uniform phase retardation across the entire clear aperture, equivalent to λ/2 at the operating wavelength. The true zero-order six-segmented waveplate is mounted in a black anodized standard SM1  lens tube, which is engraved with the product model and specifications. The end face features a vertical line and a dot - the line marks the boundary between the 60° fast-axis and -60° fast-axis regions, while the dot indicates the area corresponding to the 60° fast-axis. When analyzed counterclockwise starting from the dotted region, the fast-axis orientation angles between adjacent sectors are respectively 30°, 30°, 120°, 30°, 30°, and 120°.
