  • Supports Flexible Customization of Specifications
LBTEK Laser Mode Converter (LMC) is fabricated from N-BK7 window and Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) materials. Using photoalignment technology, LCP films with different fast axis distributions are formed on the glass substrate surface, and by adjusting the LCP film thickness, the phase retardance between the o-ray and e-ray passing through the liquid crystal molecules is precisely controlled to π, making it a single-wavelength element. LBTEK Laser Mode Converter is a diffractive optical element that converts a laser beam from the fundamental TEM00 mode to higher-order Hermite-Gaussian modes based on its structural and phase distribution; different structures and phase distributions enable different mode conversions. LBTEK offers standard laser mode converters with conversion modes of TEM00→TEM10/TEM01 and TEM00→TEM11, with selectable operating wavelengths of 532 nm, 633 nm, 780 nm, and 1064 nm. All products are mounted in black anodized standard SM1 lens tubes, engraved with fast axis markings, product model, and specifications for easy identification and use. In addition to the standard laser mode converters, LBTEK also supports flexible customization of specifications. For specific customization requirements, please contact LBTEK Technical Support.

Mode Converter, TEM00→TEM01/TEM10
  • Optical Element Material: Liquid Crystal Polymer / N-BK7 Window
  • Clear Aperture: Ø21.5 mm
  • Converts from TEM00 to TEM01/TEM10 Mode

LBTEK Mode Converter is fabricated on N-BK7 window with dual substrates and a total thickness of 3.2 mm, providing uniform phase retardance across the entire clear aperture, equal to 1/2 of the operating wavelength. The TEM00–TEM01 mode converter divides the entire glass into two halves; the fast axis directions in the two zones are perpendicular to each other with a phase difference of π. The mode converter is mounted in a black anodized standard SM1 lens tube, engraved with the product model and specifications. A vertical line and a dot are engraved on the end face: the vertical line represents the 0° fast axis direction, the zone corresponding to the dot has its fast axis parallel to the line, and adjacent zones are perpendicular to the line (as indicated in the right figure, the upper zone has a fast axis direction of 0° and the lower zone has a fast axis direction of 90°).

Mode Converter, TEM00→TEM11
  • Optical Element Material: Liquid Crystal Polymer / N-BK7 Window
  • Clear Aperture: Ø21.5 mm
  • Converts from TEM00 to TEM11 Mode

LBTEK Mode Converter is fabricated on N-BK7 window with dual substrates and a total thickness of 3.2 mm, providing uniform phase retardance across the entire clear aperture, equal to 1/2 of the operating wavelength. The TEM00–TEM11 mode converter divides the entire glass into four zones; the fast axis directions in the two diagonal zones are identical, and the fast axis directions in adjacent zones are perpendicular with a phase difference of π. The mode converter is mounted in a black anodized standard SM1 lens tube, engraved with the product model and specifications. A vertical line and a dot are engraved on the end face: the vertical line represents the 0° fast axis direction, the zone corresponding to the dot has its fast axis parallel to the line, and adjacent zones are perpendicular to the line (as indicated in the right figure, the upper-right zone corresponding to the dot and its diagonal zone have a fast axis direction of 0°, while the upper-left zone and its diagonal zone have a fast axis direction of 90°).
