Product Description
  • Optical Material: CaF2
  • Working Wavelength: 200 nm-8.0 um
LBTEK provides standard uncoated calcium fluoride (CaF2) high-precision windows. These uncoated windows operate across a wavelength range from ultraviolet (200 nm) to infrared (8.0 μm), with high transmittance throughout the entire spectral range. For details, see the transmittance curve. The inherent low absorption and high damage threshold of CaF2 make these windows suitable for free-space laser-related applications. Additionally, CaF2 features low dispersion (Abbe number 95) and low fluorescence, along with excellent water resistance, chemical resistance, and heat resistance. However, CaF2 may degrade when used in high-humidity environments if the temperature exceeds 600°C. CaF2 material is prone to deliquescence in highly humid environments; it is recommended to maintain the operating environment at 25% humidity and 20°C. Excessive ambient temperature will accelerate deliquescence. After each use, clean the product thoroughly and store it in a dry cabinet (25% humidity, 20°C). This product is slightly irritating. Operators are advised to wear dust masks and rubber gloves to avoid direct hand contact with the product and to wash hands after operation. Contact and storage with acidic substances is forbidden.

The low absorption and high damage threshold characteristics of CaF2 itself make these material windows suitable for free-space laser-related applications. Additionally, CaF2 also features low dispersion (Abbe number 95) and low fluorescence, along with excellent waterproofing, chemical resistance, and heat resistance. However, when used in high-humidity environments, CaF2 degrades if the temperature exceeds 600 °C. All LBTEK circular lenses can be mounted in LBTEK standard lens sleeves, fixed lens holders, and various coaxial mounting plates. Customers can choose the optimal mounting method for different application scenarios.
