The LBTEK single-mode fiber adjustable attenuator is an optical passive device designed to reduce optical signal power. It attenuates the input optical power to prevent damage to receiving equipment from excessive levels. LBTEK offers single-mode adjustable attenuators for various wavelengths. Each attenuator incorporates two lenses and an adjustable occluding element: one lens collimates the input light from the fiber, while the other focuses the collimated light back into the fiber. By turning the fixed knob, the occluding element’s position between the lenses can be adjusted vertically, achieving the desired light attenuation and resulting target optical power.
