The LBTEK Polarization-maintaining single-mode fiber adjustable attenuator (PM Fiber Adjustable Attenuator) is an optical passive device designed to reduce optical signal energy. It is used to attenuate input optical power, preventing potential damage to receiving equipment from excessive power levels. LBTEK provides PM single-mode adjustable attenuators for various wavelengths. Each attenuator includes two lenses and an occluding device. One lens collimates the input light from the fiber, while the other lens focuses the collimated light and couples it back into the fiber. By adjusting the screw knob, the occluding device between the lenses can be moved vertically, achieving the desired light attenuation and thus obtaining the target optical power value. This PM Fiber Adjustable Attenuator is applicable in optical communication systems and fiber optic test equipment, and other related fields.
