The LBTEK Cosine Corrector in cosine correction system eliminates the optical coupling issues caused by the limitations of light collection geometry in other sampling devices (bare fibers, collimating lenses, and integrating spheres). The incident end of the cosine corrector can receive light from a 180° solid angle in free space, while the other end features an SMA905 connector, which can be connected to a spectrometer via a fiber optic patch cord. This product is compatible with LBTEK's Spectrometers.

The LBTEK 200 nm-1100 nm Cosine Corrector features a cosine plate made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) diffusing material, with optimized design for light transmittance and collection efficiency in the 200 nm-1100 nm wavelength range. The cosine plate can collect light within a maximum solid angle of 180° relative to the diffusing surface, reducing the requirement for precise alignment of the light source and thereby lowering the difficulty of spectral testing. The incident end of the cosine corrector has a smooth wall and can be clamped using fixtures, while the exit end is equipped with an SMA905 connector, allowing direct connection to a spectrometer via fiber optic patch cables.
