  • Silicon-based and indium gallium arsenide detectors available
LBTEK's Fixed Gain Photodetector is a device used for photoelectric conversion, primarily applied in fields such as optical communication, optical sensing, and optical measurement. The core of the fixed gain photodetector is a photosensitive region, which is composed of indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) or silicon-based (Si) materials. InGaAs and silicon-based materials exhibit excellent photoelectric conversion characteristics in the visible to near-infrared spectral range, making them widely used in high-speed optical communication and fiber optic sensing applications. The photosensitive region of this detector can receive incident light through optical fibers or other free-space optical methods. When light irradiates the photosensitive region, the detector material undergoes a photoelectric effect, converting optical energy into an electrical signal. This conversion process primarily relies on internal photoelectric effects and photodiode effects. After photoelectric conversion, the electrical signal needs to be amplified to increase signal strength and improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Fixed gain refers to the integration of a fixed-gain amplifier within the photodetector, which can amplify the converted weak electrical signal to a higher level for subsequent processing and analysis.
Indium Gallium Arsenide Fixed Gain Photodetectors
  • Spectral response range: 800-1700 nm
  • Fixed gain
  • Low noise amplification
  • Detector type: InGaAs

LBTEK InGaAs Fixed Gain Photodetector is a fixed-gain photodetector with rated bandwidth, capable of measuring optical signals in the wavelength range of 800 nm to 1700 nm. The optical signal is input through the photosensitive surface, and the output is delivered as a voltage via a BNC connector. The photodetector housing features mounting holes with 1/4"-20 UNC threads for easy installation and fixation. The housing also includes two threaded adapters of different sizes, suitable for industrial and scientific applications respectively. These allow easy integration with external optical components such as filters, attenuators, lenses, and FC fiber adapters. Each photodetector is supplied with a ±9 V DC linear power supply, which has an input rated voltage of 220 VAC/50 Hz.
