LBTEK Polymer Beamsplitting DOE is fabricated from N-BK7 or UVFS glass substrates and liquid crystal polymer (LCP) materials, forming a typical sandwich planar structure and operating as a single-wavelength device. The phase structure of the polymer beamsplitting DOE is designed based on diffractive optics principles according to requirements such as the target splitting pattern, spacing between split spots, and beam separation angle, achieving the desired beamsplitting effect by redistributing energy among corresponding diffraction orders. Compared with cascaded grating beamsplitters, the polymer beamsplitting DOE has no requirement on the polarization state of the incident beam and can achieve odd-number beamsplitting. Compared with Dammann grating beamsplitters, the polymer beamsplitting DOE offers superior diffraction efficiency and beamsplitting spot uniformity. Compared with conventional etched DOEs, the polymer beamsplitting DOE more readily achieves multi-order phase variations, thereby reaching higher diffraction efficiency with significantly reduced fabrication complexity. Therefore, thanks to its advantages of high diffraction efficiency, high beamsplitting uniformity, high separation angle accuracy, low spurious diffraction order noise, and simple fabrication, the polymer beamsplitting DOE is suitable for various applications including parallel laser processing, optical sensing, and medical aesthetics. LBTEK offers standard polymer beamsplitting DOEs with operating wavelengths of 532 nm and 1064 nm, with splitting modes of 1 × 3, 1 × 9, and 2 × 3 available, and substrate materials of N-BK7 and UVFS optional. In addition to standard products, LBTEK also provides flexible customization of specifications. For specific customization requirements, please contact LBTEK Technical Support.

  • Liquid Crystal Polymer/N-BK7 Window
  • Clear Aperture: Ø21.5 mm
  • Achieve 1 × 3 and 1 × 9 Uniform Beamsplitting

LBTEK One-Dimensional Polymer Beamsplitting DOE is fabricated on a 1.6 mm-thick N-BK7 window, featuring a dual-substrate structure with a single-layer liquid crystal polymer film. It provides a uniform λ/2 retardance across the entire clear aperture. Standard products achieve 1 × 3 and 1 × 9 one-dimensional beamsplitting. The product is a bare optic without a mechanical housing and can be used with a 1-inch rotation mount to adjust the geometric orientation of the split beams.
