Multimode optical fibers are widely used in modern communication fields, not only enabling high-speed data transmission but also suitable for transmitting high-definition video and audio, as well as being utilized in medical fields as endoscopes and laser surgical instruments. Additionally, optical fibers can be applied in lighting, thermal measurement, and sensor fields to achieve non-invasive measurement or monitoring. LBTEK multimode optical fibers are step-index fibers, featuring high light transmission efficiency and excellent fatigue resistance. They offer wavelength ranges of 190 nm-1200 nm and 300 nm-2400 nm, with both conventional circular cores and square cores available. LBTEK offers circular core fibers with three core diameter options: 50 μm, 105 μm, and 200 μm, suitable for various applications. The fibers are available in both high and low hydroxyl ion (OH) concentrations, with high OH fibers optimized for UV to visible light wavelengths and low OH fibers designed for visible to near-infrared wavelengths. These fibers are the preferred choice for applications such as spectroscopy, medical diagnostics, medical technology, and laser delivery systems.

LBTEK offers square-core fibers with five core size options: 100×100 μm, 200×200 μm, 400×400 μm, 600×600 μm, and 150×450 μm. Non-circular (square or rectangular) homogenizing fibers possess unique beam homogenization and mode scrambling characteristics. When inputting a Gaussian-distributed laser, they can produce a flat-top beam with uniform energy distribution while achieving higher coupling efficiency compared to circular fibers. These fibers are the preferred choice for beam shaping applications, such as illumination.
