The LBTEK five-axis fiber collimator/coupler is designed with a high-precision adjustment system, enabling X/Y/Z + pitch/yaw five-axis adjustability, which significantly enhances user efficiency when aligning fiber collimator outputs. Since the focal length of aspheric lenses varies with wavelength, conventional collimators only achieve optimal collimation/coupling performance at the designed wavelength. However, the adjustable focal length design of the five-axis fiber collimator/coupler allows it to operate over a broad wavelength range, delivering ideal collimation/coupling performance through flexible tuning for different wavelengths. The housing is constructed from highly stable stainless steel and incorporates LBTEK's proprietary heat treatment process, ensuring product reliability and stability during operation. To meet requirements for low spherical aberration or low focal length drift, the five-axis collimator/coupler offers two lens options: aspheric lenses or achromatic lenses. Additionally, the LBTEK five-axis collimator/coupler provides multiple focal lengths ranging from 4.6 to 15 mm, along with optional fiber interfaces including FC/PC, FC/APC, or SMA, catering to diverse application scenarios. For each focal length and connector type, three coating options are available: A (350/400-700 nm), B (650-1050 nm), and C (1050-1700 nm).

The LBTEK aspheric lens five-axis fiber coupler/collimator with a focal length of 4.6 mm offers three coating options (A/B/C), covering wavelengths from 350-1700 nm. While the connector and fiber remain stationary, the built-in lens provides five degrees of freedom for alignment: linear alignment in the X and Y directions, pitch and yaw angular alignment, and simultaneous adjustment of the Z-axis using pitch and yaw. The aspheric lens has a travel range of ±0.7 mm in the X and Y directions with a resolution of 317 µm per revolution. The Z-direction travel range is ±1.0 mm with a resolution of 200 µm per revolution. Additionally, loosening the three flat-head screws on the front panel allows rotation of the connector for polarization-maintaining fiber alignment. After alignment is completed, tighten the locking screws on the side of the housing to secure the X and Y positions. The lock ring on the Zθ adjuster can fix the pitch/yaw position. Five-axis fiber couplers with FC/PC interfaces and an effective focal length ≤7.5 mm can be used with both FC/PC and FC/APC connectors, as the combination of five-axis adjustment and short focal length makes off-axis output negligible.

Single-Axis Fiber Coupler Mounting Base with Wall Plate

The fiber coupler mounting base from LBTEK is designed for the installation of fiber couplers and the construction of miniature fiber optic systems, offering an optical circuit that ensures long-term stability and high coupling efficiency. Both side plates of the mounting base are furnished with four M2 tapped holes, enabling a secure threaded connection with fiber couplers, and each side plate incorporates an SM1 female hole, which is compatible with LBTEK‘s Ø25.4 mm lens tubes and other SM1 threaded components. The base plate is designed with two M6 countersunk slots on either side, facilitating the parallel and secure fastening of the base plate to optical tables or breadboards using M6 socket head cap screws, and the bottom surface of the base plate features M6 tapped holes, allowing for connection to post holders. The purchase comes with two M6 socket head cap screws and flat washers. 

 

The fiber coupler mounting base is used to build miniature fiber systems.

Fiber Coupler Wall Plate

The fiber coupler wall plate from LBTEK can be mounted on the lateral surface of the fiber coupler mounting base using the two included M4 screws. It features four M2 tapped holes for connection with the fiber coupler screw threads and includes an SM1 internal tapped hole, compatible with LBTEK's Ø25.4 mm lens tubes and other SM1 tapped components. The purchase comes with an SM1 retaining ring.

The fiber coupler wall plate is mounted on the side of the FP-50.
