LBTEK elliptical mirrors are made of UV-grade fused silica substrates, coated with dielectric or metallic reflective films. LBTEK offers two sizes with minor axes of 12.7 mm and 25.4 mm. When the mirror is rotated 45° around the minor axis, the clear aperture becomes circular. LBTEK provides three types of dielectric-coated elliptical mirrors for 400 nm-750 nm, 750 nm-1100 nm, and 1100 nm-1650 nm wavelength ranges; as well as four types of metallic-coated elliptical mirrors: UV-enhanced aluminum (250 nm-600 nm), aluminum (450 nm-20.0 μm), silver (480 nm-20.0 μm), and gold (800 nm-20.0 μm). All LBTEK mirrors undergo precision machining and strict quality control to ensure high-quality products at reasonable prices. The reflector is used to change the direction of the light beam. LBTEK's fused silica broadband dielectric coating achieves a reflectivity of over 99% within the working wavelength range. Metal-coated mirrors are highly suitable for deflecting broadband light sources, as they provide high reflectivity across a wide spectral range. Metal coatings are prone to oxidation, discoloration, or peeling in high-humidity environments. To prevent direct contact between the metal coating and air, LBTEK's metal-coated mirrors are coated with a protective layer of silicon dioxide on the surface.

LBTEK offers elliptical silver-coated metal plane mirrors with a major axis of 35.9 mm and a minor axis of 25.4 mm. Metal-coated mirrors are highly suitable for deflecting light paths of broadband light sources, as they exhibit high reflectivity across a wide spectral range. Metal coatings are prone to oxidation, discoloration, or peeling in high-humidity environments. To prevent direct contact between the metal coating and air, LBTEK's metal-coated mirrors are coated with a layer of silicon dioxide protective film. Although the protective layer can prevent silver oxidation, silver-coated mirrors should still not be used in high-humidity environments. They must be used and stored in room-temperature conditions with minimal humidity. When handling silver-coated mirrors, it is recommended to wear latex gloves or finger cots to prevent contamination of the optical surface by oils or residues from fingers. Handle with care, avoiding contact with the mirror surface and edges.
