LBTEK quartz air-spaced zero-order quarter-wave plate is composed of two quartz wave plates with a spacer in between. The fast axes of the two quartz wave plates are perpendicular to each other, and their phase difference is π/2, commonly used to convert linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light. Compared to glued quartz crystal zero-order wave plates, the two quartz wave plates in the air-spaced zero-order wave plate are separated by a spacer to form an air gap, making this structure suitable for higher-power laser applications. In addition, LBTEK also offers quartz true zero-order quarter-wave plates and polymer true zero-order quarter-wave plates, which are less affected by wavelength shifts and incident angles. Besides standard quartz zero-order quarter-wave plates, LBTEK provides various customization services, including custom sizes, design wavelengths, phase retardation, and other specifications. The quartz zero-order quarter-wave plate is mounted in a two-inch black anodized aluminum ring, fixed with glue inside and cannot be disassembled. The zero-order quarter-wave plate with a two-inch mount has a diameter of Ø50.8 mm and a thickness of 4.8 mm, and can be installed in a two-inch rotation mount. The front and back surfaces of the housing are marked with thin lines indicating the fast axis direction of the wave plate, and the circumference is engraved with the wave plate model, retardation, design wavelength, and other information for easy identification.

The zero-order quarter-wave plate with one-inch mount has a diameter of Ø25.4 mm and a thickness of 4.8 mm, and can be installed in a one-inch rotation mount. The front and rear surfaces of the housing are engraved with fine lines indicating the direction of the wave plate's fast axis, and the housing is engraved with the wave plate model, retardation, design wavelength and other markings for easy identification.

The quartz zero-order quarter-wave plate is mounted in a black anodized SM05-8A standard lens tube and can be connected to other rotation mounts via SM05 internal and external threads. The end face of the housing is engraved with a fine line indicating the direction of the fast axis of the wave plate, and the body is engraved with the wave plate model, retardation, design wavelength, and other markings for easy identification. In the SM05 threaded mount, the wave plate is secured by an SM05R retaining ring and an O-ring, and can be removed without the holder using a wrench OWR-05A. The side of the wave plate without the holder is marked with a pencil indicating the fast axis direction.

It is commonly used to convert linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light. This wave plate is a bare plate without mounting, with a cut edge on the side; the direction of the cut edge indicates the fast axis direction of the wave plate. The wave plate can be directly mounted in a rotation mount of the corresponding size, or indirectly mounted in a rotation mount via SM05 or SM1 lens tubes.
