LBTEK Five-Axis Single-Mode Fiber Positioner (SLF5) provides precise adjustment along five degrees of freedom—pitch, yaw, and XYZ translation—making it ideal for single-mode fiber alignment applications. The base of the positioner features orthogonal M4 mounting holes, allowing mounting posts to be attached for both left- and right-handed configurations. The Optic Mount (SLF5-1AS) is compatible with the SLF5 and allows direct mounting of optical components onto the five-axis positioner. The Fiber Adapter (SLF5-FPC) enables secure mounting of FC/PC-terminated fibers to the SLF5 for accurate and repeatable fiber alignment.

The LBTEK five-axis single-mode fiber positioner enables pitch/yaw and XYZ-axis adjustments, making it suitable for single-mode fiber applications. The fiber end features independent pitch/deflection control, managed by three adjustment screws that provide a precision of 0.75° per turn. Each adjuster is equipped with planetary gears, and rotating the central knob drives all three adjusters simultaneously to achieve independent Z-axis movement. When one screw is secured in place using a 2 mm hex wrench, pitch/yaw motion can be performed. Two mutually perpendicular adjustment screws on the side enable X-Y alignment, while an inclined position includes a pair of fine X-Y adjustment screws. Rotating the coarse adjustment screw via an internal cam achieves a sensitivity of 0.78 μm per turn. Multiple mounting holes are provided for accessory installation, ensuring maximum flexibility. The base includes four M4 mounting holes, allowing rods to be attached to the single-mode fiber positioner for left- or right-handed setups.

SLF5 is often used together with SLF5-1AS and SLF5-FPC.

The LBTEK positioner mounts is designed to be compatible with single-mode fiber positioners, allowing direct installation of Ø25.4 mm optical components onto the SLF5. It features two M4 threaded holes along the optical path for connection to the fiber positioner, plus two orthogonally distributed M4 threaded holes enabling left/right-handed assembly. The three-point fixation design between the base and optical component allows positional adjustment via hand-tightened screws. Includes one 3.0 mm hex key and two M4×30 socket head cap screws.
