LBTEK active liquid crystal gratings are based on ITO conductive glass and liquid crystal, featuring a sandwich structure of "front and rear ITO glass + middle liquid crystal layer." The fast axis orientation of the liquid crystal molecules exhibits a periodic and continuous gradient along the x-direction. Similar to LBTEK polarization gratings, by adjusting the voltage applied to the active liquid crystal grating, the retardation of the middle liquid crystal layer can be modified, allowing the ±1st-order diffraction efficiency of the active liquid crystal grating to reach its optimum within a certain wavelength range. LBTEK offers working wavelengths λ ranging from 500 to 1550 nm, while also supporting flexible customization of parameters such as grating period and clear aperture to meet diverse application requirements. The LBTEK active liquid crystal grating can achieve flexible adjustment of diffraction efficiency under the control of an external AC voltage (DC voltage cannot be applied externally). It features a clear aperture of 8mm×8mm, and the cell thickness and grating period can be customized flexibly.
