LBTEK vacuum series connecting rods and zero-gap clamps are made of 316L stainless steel. All products in this series are manufactured from the same material and undergo the same heat treatment process, resulting in a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which enhances the stability of the overall system. Each connecting rod features an M4 thread on the top and an M6 thread on the bottom, both with a Ø2 mm positioning hole for aligning optical component mounts. The vacuum zero-gap flexible clamp features a unique structural design that ensures the mounting surface remains in tight, gap-free contact with the mounting platform during use. Made from heat-treated and stress-relieved 316L stainless steel, the clamp provides strong clamping force and is suitable for use with VSS series connecting rods to achieve stable mounting. The clamp's reversible symmetrical design allows for installation in either left-hand or right-hand orientations. The flexible clamping and mounting slots are secured by separate vacuum screws, enabling independent adjustment of the clamp's position and the connecting rod's rotational alignment. The connecting rod is locked in place via an M6 internal hex vacuum socket head cap screw on the side of the flexible clamp. The VSS series employs a unique vacuum structural design. At 23°C, the products can be used directly out of the package in a vacuum environment of 10^(-6) Torr. For applications in vacuum environments ranging from 10^(-6) Torr to 10^(-9) Torr, it is recommended to bake the product at 110°C for 5 hours before installation to remove any attached grease and moisture. Note: All VSS products are baked before leaving the factory, which may result in varying degrees of light yellow discoloration. This appearance is normal and does not affect vacuum performance. Avoid contact with greasy or wet objects when using products in this series.
