Product Description
  • Substrate: ZnSe
  • Working Wavelength: 2.0 μm-16.0 μm
  • OD:0.3、1.0、2.0、3.0
  • Application: Low power
  • Reflective Neutral Density Filter
LBTEK Infrared (IR) Absorptive Neutral Density (ND) Filters utilize ZnSe as substrate, a material that exhibits high transmittance and low absorption in the infrared. By precisely controlling the thickness and uniformity of the nickel layer on the surface, the filters achieve balanced attenuation across the 2.0-16.0 μm wavelength range. Optical densities (OD) range from 0.2 to 3.0, with sizes available in Ø12.7 mm and Ø25.4 mm. LBTEK filters can be mounted on threaded tubes or coaxial mounting plates for coaxial systems, or mounted in free space. LBTEK also offers custom filters with special dimensions and optical densities. Please contact Technical Support for inquiries.

Infrared (IR) Reflective Neutral Density (ND) Filters, Working Wavelength: 2.0 μm-16.0 μm, Mounted
  • Substrate Material: ZnSe
  • Working Wavelength: 2.0 μm-16.0 μm
  • Mounted in mechanical housing, removable
  • Mechanical Housing: SM05-8A, SM1-8A

LBTEK's infrared reflective neutral density filters with mounting have an optical density (OD) range of 0.3-3.0, with optical component sizes of Ø12.7 mm and Ø25.4 mm. By coating nickel (single-sided) on a ZnSe substrate, a relatively flat OD value curve is achieved within the 2.0-16.0 μm range. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that incident light enters from the nickel-coated side. Although classified as reflective neutral density filters, the nickel coating still absorbs some incident light. Additionally, this unprotected metal coating requires careful handling to avoid contact, as touching may scratch the unprotected surface. Cleaning is recommended using an air blower. The MNDFR series reflective neutral density filters come mounted in detachable standard lens tubes, with the surface engraved with product model, working wavelength, and OD value for easy identification. Note: It is advisable to wear finger cots or gloves when handling.

Round reflective neutral density filters with mounting can be installed into other mechanical adapters via SM1 threads

Infrared (IR) Reflective Neutral Density (ND) Filters, Working Wavelength: 2.0 μm-16.0 μm
  • Substrate Material: ZnSe
  • Working Wavelength: 2.0 μm-16.0 μm
  • Size: 12.7 mm, Ø25.4 mm
  • Unmounted

LBTEK unmounted reflective neutral density filters have an optical density (OD) ranging from 0.3 to 3.0, with sizes of Ø12.7 mm and Ø25.4 mm. By depositing nickel (single-sided) on a ZnSe substrate, a smooth OD curve is achieved within the 2.0 μm-16.0 μm range. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended that the incident light enters from the side coated with chrome-nickel-iron alloy coating. Although classified as reflective neutral density filters, the nickel coating still absorbs a portion of the incident light. Additionally, this unprotected metal film requires careful handling to avoid contact, as touching may scratch the unprotected surface. It is advised to use an air blower for cleaning. Note: It is recommended to wear finger cots or gloves when handling.
