Product Description
  • Cascaded bonding of liquid crystal variable retarders and liquid crystal polarization gratings
  • Center wavelength 1550nm, large clear aperture
  • High efficiency and stability, fast response speed, high deflection accuracy
  • Supports flexible customization of parameter specifications
LBTEK solid beam steering module (Solid Beam Steering Module, SBSM) is mainly composed of liquid crystal variable retarders and liquid crystal polarization gratings. By applying different voltages output from the corresponding voltage controller, the retardation of the liquid crystal variable retarder is controlled. The incident light is modulated into left-handed or right-handed circularly polarized light after passing through the liquid crystal variable retarder. Due to the diffraction polarization-dependent characteristics of the liquid crystal polarization grating, incident light with different circular polarization states is diffracted in different directions after passing through the liquid crystal polarization grating. The cascade superposition of multiple liquid crystal variable retarders and liquid crystal polarization gratings can achieve beam deflection within a certain angular range. Compared with mechanical beam steering technology, the LBTEK non-mechanical beam steering module has the advantages of small size, fast response speed, and high stability. It also supports flexible customization of parameter specifications. For details, please consult LBTEK technical support.
Non-mechanical beam scanning module
  • Center wavelength 1550nm
  • Response time less than 31ms@25℃
  • Meets effective aperture > Ø80 mm
  • Deflection position: 4×16

The LBTEK non-mechanical beam scanning module SBSM80-1550-4×16 is formed by cascading and laminating 7 liquid crystal variable retarders and 6 liquid crystal polarization gratings. Among them, the grating lines of two liquid crystal polarization gratings are perpendicular to those of the other four, controlling the deflection of the incident beam in the vertical and horizontal directions respectively. The effective clear aperture is >Ø80 mm, the overall deflection efficiency is >45%, and at 25°C, the response time can be <31ms.
