Product Description
  • A beam of linearly polarized light with a high extinction ratio obtained at the transmission port when the unpolarized light is incident, which is the extraordinary light; all ordinary light and part of the extraordinary light contained in the emergent light at the reflection port
  • Air-spaced design for handling higher power applications
  • Pre-installed in a black anodized mechanical housing
The Glan-laser polarizing prism can be used to output the linearly polarized light with a high extinction ratio. To meet customers' needs for different wavelength bands, the LBTEK Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prism is composed of two identical negative uniaxial crystal prisms (calcite or α-BBO) with parallel optical axes (both calcite and α-BBO are negative uniaxial crystals, where no > ne. Calcite has excellent transmittance in the visible to near-infrared band, while α-BBO exhibits superior optical performance from ultraviolet to mid-infrared band). Air gaps filled by the spacers at the edges between the prisms enable the device to withstand higher power applications. LBTEK also offers various customization services, including special dimensions, design wavelengths, and other specifications. For specific customization needs, please contact LBTEK Technical Support. For usage precautions, please refer to the technical description.

Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prisms
  • Optical component material: Calcite/α-BBO
  • Clear aperture: Ø10 mm
  • Operating wavelength: 200 nm-3.0 μm (segmented)

The LBTEK Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prisms are used to output linearly polarized light with high extinction ratios. LBTEK offers Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prisms with the clear aperture of Ø10 mm and operating wavelengths of 350 nm-2.3 μm (anti-reflection coating 1064 nm), 200 nm-300 nm (anti-reflection coating 245 nm), 400 nm-700 nm (anti-reflection coating 532 nm), 700 nm-1100 nm (anti-reflection coating 1064 nm), and 700 nm-3.0 μm (anti-reflection coating 1064 nm). Additionally, LBTEK Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prisms are pre-installed in black anodized mechanical housings that are non-detachable. The housings feature through escape windows for collecting reflected light. One end of the housing is engraved with SM1 external threads and includes a retaining ring for reverse locking and controlling the prism's polarization direction, while the other end is an optical arm. Both ends are compatible with LBTEK adjustment mounts for convenient use by customers.

The LBTEK Glan-Laser Crystal Polarizing Prism is installed on the rotation mount
