LBTEK Flat Axicon Lens (PB Axicon, PBA) is fabricated on an N-BK7 glass substrate using Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) material, featuring a sandwich structure of "glass substrates on both sides with an LCP functional film layer in between." In the LCP layer, the fast-axis orientation of the liquid crystal molecules exhibits an equal-period gradient distribution along the radial direction of the substrate, providing a uniform λ/2 retardation across the entire device plane, making it a single-wavelength component. The flat axicon lens exhibits polarization-dependent optical characteristics. Depending on the polarization state of the incident beam, it can be used to achieve annular beam focusing or divergence. When the incident light is left-handed circularly polarized, it can also generate Bessel beams with non-diffracting and self-healing properties. Compared to traditional axicon lenses, LBTEK's flat axicon lens features a planar structure without a three-dimensional conical tip, making it easier to integrate. Additionally, the structural formation of its conical tip relies on the orientation changes of liquid crystal molecules, enabling micron-level fabrication precision. It also exhibits large dispersion characteristics. LBTEK offers standard 1-inch flat axicon lenses with working wavelengths (λ) of 532 nm, 633 nm, and 1064 nm, as well as deflection angles (half-angle) of 0.5°, 1°, 2.0°, 2.3°, and 4.7°. The LBTEK flat axicon lens with a clear aperture of 20 mm has an overall size of 1-inch specification and is designed for three operating wavelengths: 532 nm, 633 nm, and 1064 nm. Depending on the phase period, it offers five deflection angles: 0.5°, 1°, 2.0°, 2.3°, and 4.7°, providing flexible adaptation to various working distances. On the side of the component, there is an arrow indicator whose direction represents the beam propagation direction—the side with the arrow opening is the incident surface, and the side the arrow points to is the exit surface, serving as a reference for proper product usage.
